The great qualitative and technical advantages offered by lasers to marking and engraving applications are well known to all sectors of industrial manufacturing. The trend towards use of laser technology continues to grow and with it, new laser solution are being created to accommodate applications which traditionally were reserved to other manufacturing techniques.

Diode pumped lasers are used in the Violino ™ Series of laser markers. One of the many important benefits of this design improvement is that by using a diode laser pump source, optical output efficiency reaches levels of 30-50% (as opposed to the 2-3% averaged by lamp pumped lasers). This increased efficiency means that the laser system need consume only few hundred watts of electrical power to operate at optimum levels and does not require a water-based chiller.
